Got a ring from this number earlier today. The bloke on the line had a really thick Asian accent and started off saying he wanted to sort me out a refund for PPI. Then he changed it and said it was about a loan. I told him I’ve never taken out any loan at all. Next thing, he was shouting at me, calling me a motherf***er. Proper rude and disgusting way to speak to someone. Totally not on.

I got a call from the same number once more and finally picked up. A guy on the line was talking about some money I was supposedly owed from a loan I supposedly cleared years ago. Seemed fishy to me! He tried to say, "You took a loan before, right?" and I just replied, "No, I never did," then ended the call. These kinds of calls are seriously irritating.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to ring about a postal loan I supposedly had with Lloyds TSB. He even knew my first and last name. I've never had any postal loan, so I told him several times I had no clue what he was on about. After a bit, he just said goodbye and ended the call. I've since blocked the number on my TalkTalk line using the 'block last caller' option (dialling 14258 then ##), so fingers crossed they don’t try ringing again.

This number keeps calling me like twice daily. Initially, they wanted to talk about my partner’s late husband, which was totally weird. Then they just started asking to speak with my partner. Whenever I ask who’s calling, they just push to speak to my partner without answering. They can be a bit rude sometimes, but mostly I just end up hanging up.

Got a call from an Asian bloke about a bank loan that we don’t even have. He was asking for my husband, but he wasn’t home. After that, he started making really nasty sexual remarks and even threatened me, claiming to know where I live. I’ve reported it to the police because it was proper creepy and upsetting. No one should have to deal with this kind of thing. The call came from 01645782214.

Some bloke with an Asian accent rang up asking for my missus by her first name. When I said she wasn’t around, he claimed he was ringing from TSB bank and said I had £2500 in PPI refund from a car loan I supposedly took out about 10 or 11 years ago. I told him I’ve never had a car loan since I always buy my cars outright, and told him he was a scammer. Then he just hung up. The number he called from was 01645 782214.

Had a few calls from this number today, so I just went ahead and blocked it. They even mentioned our family name, which was a bit creepy.

I ended up answering their questions, thinking they’d connect me with whoever sent the paperwork I’m expecting. They mentioned a company called Etico Group. I’m not sure what to make of it now, but I suppose I’ll just have to wait and find out. I can’t deny though, it’s got me a bit anxious.

Some bloke with a strong accent rang me, saying he was from some department I couldn’t catch. When I asked him to say it again, he just mumbled some more then launched into a long spiel. I cut him off and asked which company he was with, but he just hung up. I tried calling the number back just to see, but it came up with “the number you’ve dialled isn’t recognised”. Very strange!

Had a very similar thing happen to me. They rang about some PPI linked to a loan I can’t even recall taking out. First, they claimed the money was there, but then started talking about some average payout most folks get. Then, to top it off, the person pretending to help said he was with the department of justice! Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent who strangely already had my name and address. They said it was about a PPI claim, but I wasn’t even aware I had one. The guy walked me through what to say before passing me onto another caller, also with an Asian accent. The whole thing felt dodgy. I told them I had no idea who they were and just ended the call. I've had two calls from this number. The first one came around midday, and the person on the line was mumbling and sounded like they might have been tipsy, singing nonsense before hanging up fast. The second call was later that evening, they asked for someone called Mr X but then switched to just his first name. When I questioned why, the caller snapped back saying it was none of my concern. I told him exactly the same and ended the call. What's worse, they were using my late dad’s name even though my number is on the TPS list.
