Today, I had a rather peculiar phone call from a chap with a rather exotic accent using this number. He claimed that my internet connection had been compromised and, rather audaciously, insisted he could remedy the situation as he supposedly represented BT. He began to reel off a series of instructions that were utterly baffling to me-having a bit of knowledge about tech-I asked him for his full name, but he was quite evasive. At that point, my instincts kicked in, and I decided to cut the conversation short. That’s always a good way to spot a dodgy character, after all!

Our internet has been acting up and I've tried calling three separate numbers already, but every time it's the same automated voice. One of the numbers was 01234855097. They said to press 1 if I wanted to talk to someone, but I didn’t bother. I’ll just ring my provider using the number I already know.
