2 yearsI just ignored it since it was a number I didn’t recognise.2 yearsAs soon as I picked up, the call just ended. Really appreciate the earlier tips - totally stopped me from calling back. Cheers!2 yearsPretty sure its some bot working for a debt collector or something. If you ring it back, you'll end up talking to a real person.2 yearsSomeone called claiming to be from Vodafone, offering a 40% discount on my bills. I've had a similar call before which turned out to be a scam, so I was suspicious. When I questioned them, they just ended the call straight away, which made me think it was another dodgy one.Vodafone2 yearsGot a call from a number I didn't recognise and immediately decided to block it. Checked out some reviews on WCM and it's clearly some sort of scam. Best to just ignore calls like that.WCMBest2 yearsanyone got a clue who that could’ve been?2 yearsGot a call, I didnt answer it. Then they rang once more right away. I ignored that too. They tried again straight after. Pretty obvious its spam!2 yearsI keep getting calls from numbers starting with "01644 216" but the last few digits keep changing. I picked up one of them and the bloke on the line said he was "Greg" from EE - although from his accent it sounded like he was calling from some call centre in India, which was my first suspicion. Then he started talking about slashing 35% off my bill for the rest of my contract. That’s when I figured something was off because I’m not even tied into a contract anymore. He asked how much I paid last month, which seemed strange since actual providers would know that without asking. I said roughly £47. He quickly tried to sum up something like “that’d be £28 a month, good madam?” but his maths made no sense - 35% off £47 is closer to £30, not £28. I told him straight up it was bogus since I’ve got extras and I’m not even with EE on this number. If they ring again, I’m going to try and dig into what they want exactly because he didn’t even know my name, which these scammers usually do. I’ll be sure to come back here with an update and probably report it as a scam.GregEE2 yearsI ignored the call since it was from an unknown number.
