Got a call claiming to be from Amazon about my Prime subscription renewal and that money had been taken from my bank. They asked me to press one to speak to someone about my account. A bloke with a thick foreign accent said he was an Amazon Prime rep, but when I questioned him about why the number didn’t match any official Amazon contact, he just ended the call. I rang back the number and a guy with a northern English accent answered, saying it belonged to a petrochemical company’s office. He said he'd pass it on to their IT team!
