I got a call from a Middlesbrough number saying there was an unauthorised payment on my bank account. Weird thing is, it always mentions Amazon even though I’ve never shopped there. The amount they talk about is usually some foreign transaction. It’s definitely an automated call. What’s odd is this happened right after I’d seen some advice online about spotting these sorts of scams.
