Got a call from a woman earlier who said she was from Nottingham City Council, also named a few other councils around Nottinghamshire she supposed worked for. I cut her off before she went on any longer and told her to find real work instead. I also let her know I'd block her number on my phone. Another one of them trying it on...

About six weeks back, I got a call from a Middlesbrough consultancy trying to sell something. I told them to take me off their list but they rang again just the next day. I ended up putting their number on block, which just sends their calls straight to voicemail. Since then, they've called me 26 times, always leaving some pre-recorded message. It's starting to feel like they're deliberately pestering me. The number is 01642 257875, and the company name in the message sounds twisted or unclear, something like '[something] Consultants'.

Got a call from this number round 8.30 in the evening. The person said they were doing a survey for the Department of Broadband and Communications. After asking my age, they told me the survey had already got enough people in my age group. Later, I saw loads of similar complaints about NEMS Market Research online. Their address is 22-23 Manor Way, Belasis Hall Technology Park, Billingham, TS23 4HN. The company’s directors - Richard Lindsay, Roger Lindsay, Jane Carol Lindsay, Geoffrey Siggens and Martin Hunt - really need to watch who they hire, especially if their staff are pretending to be government agents.

On 4th August 2014 at about 8.10 am, I got a call on my landline from a Middlesbrough dialling code. When I answered and said hello, no one spoke - really creepy. I live in Bath and have my number unlisted, never put it on any forms, just give out my mobile. So I’m baffled how they got hold of this number. Makes you wonder if it’s some weirdo messing about. Surely BT would have tracked them down by now... they must be aware of who it is!

Lol, someone tried ringin me on my mobile but I got this handy little app called IblockerPro, only cost me 99p and it just bins any calls from strangers, telemarketers, or numbers that are hidden. I was fast asleep when my phone suddenly rang, which really disturbed my rest as I`m not feeling great. I added 141 before the number to see who it was. Turns out it was a message from Nemis Market Research apologising for calling when I couldn`t answer. I`m pretty annoyed about being woken up by them, especially since my number is ex-directory because I want to avoid unwanted calls. I`ve also signed up with the TPS, but they don`t block market research calls, so these companies are free to ring me anyway. It was a random call for no reason. If I`m paying for a phone line, I should get to decide who can contact me. The TPS should really stop these calls for anyone registered who doesn`t want them.
