Absolutely genuine. I've received a call from YourNRG, which used to be known as OilNRG, inquiring if I needed a delivery of heating oil. I’ve also come across chatter regarding a call from Conquest Energy-turns out that’s on the up and up as well, since YourNRG has acquired Conquest Energy, yet they’ve still opted to use the familiar local name that customers are accustomed to.

The individuals making those calls don’t seem to be Geordies; instead, they're from Teesside. I also received a call about heating oil. While I'm not entirely convinced it’s a scam, I definitely wouldn’t disclose any personal details without absolutely verifying their credibility first. It's always wise to contact the company directly for confirmation.

I received a rather dodgy call today from a woman putting on a Geordie accent, claiming to be with Conquest Heating Oil. She tried to convince me they were making deliveries in my area next week. Thankfully, I topped up my tank last Christmas, knowing the milder weather would stretch it until winter. She even suggested she’d call me back come autumn! I decided to look up the number she called from, 01525 402209, and I reckon I narrowly avoided falling victim to her scam.
