Got a call saying it was about my life insurance. When I asked which provider it was, the bloke said Legal and General. I told him straight up I’ve never had anything with them or any other firm since my life cover is through my work’s insurance. Funny enough, these lot have rung me before claiming they’re from my employer! Total con artists. Best steer clear and don’t waste your time with them.

Got a call from a guy with loads of noise in the background saying he was from Legal and General insurance, checking up on policyholders. He asked how I was doing. When I told him the noise was really loud, he shifted the phone and started over. Same script - asked how I was again. When I asked if he was actually going to say why he was calling or if he was just checking on me, he just hung up. I looked up the number, but it just goes to a busy tone after a bit. Double-checked with Legal and General, and apparently, they aren't behind these calls.

There was loads of noise in the background, which made me suspicious straight away. The bloke rang asking for a Mr XXX, using my mum’s last name, which isn’t even related to mine. No idea how he got that info, but I told him he’d got the wrong number and he quickly backed off. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Just like a lot of others, I was a bit suspicious at first, thought it might be a scam. There was this lady with a strong foreign accent who was a bit hard to make out. I let her carry on and then she connected me to a company called Quote Easy. Turns out, it was legit! I ended up getting a real life insurance policy from the provider I already use, but at a better price. I even have all the emails from the company to prove it.
