Our landline got a call from this number, but the moment I picked up and said 'hello', they hung up right away. Seems like one of those call-back scams. From what I've read, this number has a lot of similar reports.

Got a call from a bloke with a really thick accent claiming he was from Virgin Media, saying there was some internet issue they needed to fix. I hadn’t reported any problems, and he was trying to guide me through pressing keys on my computer over the phone. Honestly, I could barely catch what he was saying - definitely wouldn’t hire someone with that accent to do customer service! As soon as he asked me to press buttons on my PC, I ended the call straight away. Tried ringing the number back but it was busy every time. Pretty sure it was a scam trying to get into my computer.

I got a call from someone claiming to be BT Openreach saying there was an issue with my router. I told them I recognised the number wasn’t actually from BT because I’m familiar with their digits, and they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from BT. She wanted me to "test my internet speed". Seemed dodgy to me, so watch out, it's definitely a scam!

I've been getting calls where no one speaks and just silence on the end. Other times it's an Asian number and I can't make out what's being said. They sometimes ring me loads in just a couple hours. Really annoying.
