Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent trying to push me some boiler insurance for £6.99 a month. I told him straight up that all he was after was my bank info so he could nick my cash. Told him to find a real job instead of scamming folks. Then I hung up and blocked the number.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, looked it up here and turns out it was a scam.

Some guy called saying he could lower my boiler insurance, then asked for my bank info to start the "deal". I said no and he just hung up on me.

Some bloke called "Daniel" rang me saying he was from "Boiler Services" and offered a boiler check. He actually got my name right, but as soon as I asked him about the brand of my boiler, he just cut the call. Classic scam if you ask me.

Just like the Rip Off Britain episode on BBC1 pointed out, this appliance insurance is a total con. Best thing to do is simply hang up and avoid these scammers altogether.

I received a rather dodgy call from someone named "Daniel," who said he represented "Boiler Services" and was trying to sell me a boiler service. Strangely enough, he got my name right, which made it all seem a bit too convenient! When I probed him about the specific make of my boiler, however, he promptly disconnected. Just goes to show the kind of tricks these scammers use!
