I tried listenin to the bloke but couldn’t make out what he was sayin, so I just ended the call when he started on about "your computer’s runnin slow" - which it isn’t at all. The day before that, I got a call sayin “you’ve been in an accident, we can help,” which was total rubbish 'cause nothing happened and they sure didn’t help.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong accent claiming to be with Virgin Outreach Services. He said random people were using my internet, which was why it was running slow. His solution? He wanted me to log onto a device and follow his steps. Yeah, right, like I’d fall for that. I mentioned my son works in IT for the police here in the UK, and he quickly ended the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be with BT tech support, saying our internet was hacked. Since we own an IT business, we knew straight away that was rubbish. When I asked her when the breach supposedly took place, she just hung up on me. Not really sure what her angle was.

This number has buzzed me about 4 times just today. Thankfully, got BT Call Guardian set up, so it only rings if they say who they are. In the end, I just see a missed call after they've hung up. Was curious and tried to ring it back but got a message saying the number couldn’t be found or something like that. Strange stuff!

I got a call from some woman with an Indian accent after she rang me three times in about 30 minutes. Had to get up and walk all the way across the room to pick up. On the last call, she said she was from BT’s tech support, but I told her I wasn’t a BT customer and then hung up rudely. Proper annoying it was!

WATCH OUT - BT say this number is linked to scammers! Got a call today from 01639701369, and the person claimed to be from BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my broadband. My internet has been patchy lately anyway. They said they didn’t require my personal info but couldn’t provide my account details either, so I just ended the call. When I rang BT, they told me they’re aware of this number and it’s a scam trying to get into your computer. It’s mad they know this number is dodgy but can’t seem to block it. Same number has rung me a few more times since then.

Got four calls today from 01639701369. I tried 1471 to check the number and after searching it online and reading all the reviews, I thought I’d pick up this time. An Indian-accented woman claimed to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my broadband. Problem is, I’m with Virgin Business, so no way that’s true! I let her go on for a while before asking her to give me my account number - she then just hung up! Feeling pretty pleased about that. If they ring back, I’m gonna tell them I’ll put them through to my husband who actually works in IT at BT.

Over the last couple of days, this number has rung me up 5 times. I finally got through on the third try and told the person on the line I knew they were up to no good since I looked them up on 1471 and online. As soon as I said that, they just hung up. Since then, I've had two more calls from them. If I didn't think it was just a bunch of scammers, I'd honestly be reporting it for harassment by now.

We had a bloke ring our office four times today back to back. Eventually someone picked up, but he spoke with such a strong Indian accent it was hard to catch what he was saying. He kept going on about BT and our internet issues. I told him quite firmly to get lost, and if they ring again, I’ll blow our whistle we use for nuisance calls - usually that stops them pretty quick!

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, claiming my router was involved in some dodgy stuff. I wasn't having any of it and pretended not to know anything just to mess with them a bit. They told me to "switch on my computer or laptop" and when I asked "which one?", they just ended the call straight away. Honestly, if you're gonna try to scam people, at least put a bit of effort in! So lazy.

Got a call today from a bloke claiming to work for BT Openreach. He reckoned hackers had taken over my computer and said changing my password wouldn’t do any good. He wanted me to type in some code he was going to give me in the Run box. It didn’t sit right with me, so I told him straight that I knew it was a dodgy scam. Then he put someone else on the phone, said it was his manager, who spoke with a much lighter South Asian accent. They both tried to persuade me to enter the code, but I wasn’t having any of it and told them I knew they were crooks. That’s when they quickly hung up.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. The person said they were from BT Open Reach, but I told them I’m not a BT customer. They kept going on about my internet being in danger. I just ended the call straight away. Signing up to TPS hasn’t helped much because I still get loads of cold calls. Usually, I just let them ring out or sometimes answer and pretend I’m with some rival company just for a laugh.

Since I'm registered with the TPS, the call I picked up was full of static and after I said hello a few times they just ended the call. I really recommend everyone signs up to the TPS, it doesn’t cost a thing and blocks most cold calls because it’s against the law for marketers to ring you once you’re on it. Stay safe out there, folks!

Got a call earlier from some guy with an Asian accent saying he was from Microsoft. He told me they were gonna turn off my internet and router in a couple of hours. I told him I didn’t even have internet, just a radio, and he just hung up on me. Bit weird, honestly!

Some guy called saying he was John from BT broadband tech support, telling me someone else was using my broadband and needed to get into my computer to fix it. Don’t fall for it, it’s a total scam. I got a call from a person pretending to be a tech guy from BT Openreach on this number. He told me that someone was attempting to hack my internet and threatened to disconnect my broadband unless I let him fix it. I rang the BT broadband support line straight away and they confirmed it was a scam. They've taken down the number and are looking into it with their security team. If you get a call like this, don't follow any instructions they give. The safest thing to do is hang up and report it to BT.
