Total scam, these lot! They say they’re from BT security, saying some dodgy bloke is using my PC for crimes or summat. It starts with a British accent but you can tell the call centre ain’t actually in the UK. Then they go on about switching on your computer to check the problem, but it’s just a trick to get into your stuff. Classic con.

I never picked up, they just kept ringing nonstop so I ended up blocking the number after seeing what others said.

Received a call from someone in India pushing boiler deals and energy plans. They asked for money in advance but then just vanished. Absolute SCAM! Really risky, especially for elderly or vulnerable folks.

They call me like nearly every day, sometimes twice. I picked up and said hello? There was a long silence, then a beep. I said hello again and he just said hello ma'am. I asked him politely to stop ringing and to take me off their cold call list. But he kept cutting me off, saying ma'am? ma'am? ma'am? I just ended the call and blocked the number now. Proper annoying.

Got a call pretending to be about the green deal, definitely a scam, so I just blocked the number.

Got a call asking for a Mr something, clearly not me as i’m not a bloke and this number’s been mine forever! When i told them he’s not here they just said it’s fine, they can chat with me instead. They went on about some govt green scheme for insulation in plymouth. I haven’t lived there ages, so obviously a scam. These calls keep coming even tho i’ve asked them to take my number off their list and i’ve blocked ’em too. Caller ID shows they’re coming from neath, so keep your guard up.
