I received a rather peculiar phone call earlier. The person on the other end didn’t bother to introduce themselves or explain the purpose of their call. Instead, they jumped straight in, asking if I was the individual they were trying to reach. Then, out of the blue, they asked me if I’d ever worked in a noisy environment. When I replied in the negative, she simply said, “Alright, cheers” and promptly ended the call. Honestly, it felt rather abrupt and quite discourteous, to say the least!
