Got a ring from this 01638 number which matches my local area code, but the number itself looked dodgy. A lady with an Indian accent said she was from BT, but I told her off, saying she definitely wasn’t. As soon as I said that, the line went dead straight away - makes you think what they were up to. Seems like a scam using a fake number pretending to be local. Watch out if you get calls like this from an unknown number with your own area code!
