Got a call on my home phone and there was a recorded voicemail saying it was from Amazon about my "Amazon Prime subscription" that would automatically renew if I didn’t press 1 to stop it. Thing is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime and if I did, it definitely wouldn’t be connected to this landline number. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Just a heads up about those unwanted calls, whether they’re from machines or people. If they ask you something, never say ‘yes’. They usually record everything and could twist it to say you agreed to buy shares in some fake company or whatever. When I get calls from unknown numbers, I often just answer and wait silently until they say something. If an automated system thinks your line is dead, sometimes your number gets flagged as inactive, and then they stop bothering you. But if you don’t mind endless spam calls, go ahead and disregard this!
