Was trying to get me to buy some "energy saving" gear but says it costs me nothing upfront. Then she goes on about how the savings will cover the price. I told her nothing’s really free, and she calls me rude then just hangs up. Typical dodgy scam at its finest, and I’m an OAP!

It’s always a new caller, with loads of noise in the background and very unprofessional. I’ve been offered dodgy PPI claims, awful work injury scams, bad car accident stuff, and life insurance nonsense. They ring me every couple of days. I finally told them to take my number off their list and since then, no more calls.

They've been ringing me nonstop every day. Some bloke from South Africa was saying my name and address, but kept pressing me for my date of birth. I told him to send me the forms and I’d fill them out, but he started yelling at me. Then he said to talk to his manager who was right beside him. Still, I never gave him the info. Eventually, he gave up and said he’d call again. I’m definitely blocking the number. He even threatened that he’d lose his job if he didn’t get the details. I just told him to ring back. Now, it’s blocked.

Complete nonsense, really. I can't help but ponder who might have passed my number along in the first place. Lately, I've been inundated with calls from Asian-sounding numbers linked to BT about my internet. Quite odd, if you ask me! I used to be with BT myself, but the service was absolutely dreadful and rather insincere, not to mention the hefty charges. I had to make the switch! When I questioned a caller about how they acquired my number, they promptly hung up. Funny that, isn’t it? Of course, the number was withheld!

Got a ring from this number earlier. Picked up but stayed quiet since these calls seem to kick off by voice commands. Got a call early Sat morning. Had to ask the bloke to say the company name like three times ‘cos his South African accent was proper thick. 01/09/2016 - 14:05 Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent who knew my name. He said he was ringing from something like "Respect Services" about cash I supposedly hadn’t claimed from banks and insurance firms. I told him he was wrong and asked him to stop calling, then I hung up.

Picked up the phone just once at home. The bloke on the line kept going on about me being in a car crash not long ago and got really cheeky when I said I hadn’t. Then he asked if anyone in my family might’ve used my car and caused a crash - that’s when I told him straight to remove my number from his database, said I’m on the Do Not Call list, and not to bother me again. But he wasn’t having it, so I had to get pretty rude with him in the end!

Just received yet another call from this number a mere five minutes ago! This time I decided to pick up the phone and see what they had to say. An Asian gentleman was on the line, claiming I was due a significant sum back from PPI. To be honest, I’ve never been involved in anything remotely related to PPI! Since it was an unsolicited call, I maintained my composure and kindly told him to take a hike! I reckon that’s the best approach, as so many of us are utterly fed up with these annoying interruptions. It's infuriating how much the authorities go on about tackling these nuisances, yet nothing really changes!
