I reckon they were just experimenting with my number, likely some sort of automated dialling system. I've gone ahead and blocked them.

this number rang my elderly dad earlier, the caller said they were calling from bt and wanted to confirm he was satisfied with his phone service as well as verify his bank details. they sounded like they knew some info about him. thankfully ive always told my dad never to share or confirm personal info over the phone so he just ended the call straight away. still, it really unsettled him. its horrible that scams like this are happening.

Got a robocall just now, sounded like they were fishing for free lines to bother. Pretty sure it was some call centre trying to find who’s available to chat. Really annoying!
