I didn't answer the call at first, but when I tried ringing back, there was a message about a hotel and some booking thing. I quickly ended the call and blocked the number right away.

Today my TalkTalk landline rang, and someone claimed to be from TalkTalk, saying they’d noticed strange activity on my internet. I wasn’t sure it was legit, so I kept firing questions at them, which seemed to annoy them because they just ended the call abruptly.

Got a missed call on me mobile and seen in the comments it's linked to scams from the Newquay code, talking about BT or internet being cut off and benefits. Sounds just like the ones we get on our landlines all the time, often more than once daily. What worries me is they've started using mobile numbers now. Someone needs to put a stop to this fast.
