My partner got a call on his phone about a crash he was supposedly involved in (someone had pulled out in front of him). But the caller wasn’t from the other driver’s insurance, they’re just those dodgy ambulance chasers. I figured this out after I rang the number back since it was local to me. When I called, the message gave the company's name (I can't quite recall it) and said to press 9 if you don’t want any more calls. An actual insurance company would never have that kind of option, so it’s definitely just a scam.

Somebody called me and then it just went silent, sounded like one of those call centres or something. No idea who it was tho.
