I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming to be from my internet service provider, bang on about issues with my IP address. She insisted on guiding me through some sort of procedure. Naturally, I had no interest in entertaining that nonsense. Straight to the block list!

I've had a strange number, 222 something, ringing me loads and I have no idea who it is. I usually don't pick up calls from people I don't know, coz i never give my number out to strangers. First thing i do when I see an unfamiliar number is look it up online before thinking about answering.

So this number rang my mate claiming there was some issue with her internet. The funny thing is, she doesn’t even have internet at all! Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from a woman with an American accent who told me my internet was at risk and to hit 1 to speak to a tech person. It seemed dodgy to me, so I just ended the call straight away. (05/10/18)

Got a call from a guy saying my IP had been hacked all over the world. He asked me to switch on my computer so he could "help me fix it". Definitely a scam, and funny enough, he said he was calling from London but the caller ID showed Newark, Nottinghamshire. Total dodgy.

Got a voicemail from someone named Shirley claiming to be from my internet company. Said my IP address was hacked or something fishy like that. Total scam, don’t fall for it!
