Somebody called me saying they were from BT, but it felt off when they told me to install a “temporary” app. I rang BT myself afterwards and they said it wasn’t them. It's a classic scam to get you to put an app on your phone so they can steal your info and bank details. Best thing to do is just ignore and hang up straight away!
