Got called a couple of times by numbers starting with 0163640, first one was 41647 then later from 4139. Didn't pick up cos I reckon it's one of those nuisance calls. Loads of scams these days so I only pick up or call back if I recognise the number or they leave a voicemail. Ended up blocking ‘em. They tend to try ringing again from the same area but with different endings. Wish there was some proper punishment, imagine how much cash the gov could rake in if there were fines for this sort of thing!

Got a call from a pushy lady in Newark who kept going on about some government grant. When I asked her how she gets paid for making these calls and why I couldn’t just apply for the “grant” myself online, she got all defensive. Told her I didn’t trust her or the company one bit. Asked her to send any info by post since she claimed to have my details, but she got really annoyed instead. I blocked her straight away. It’s a worrying scam because the ECO4 grant is real, but it’s handled directly online by the government. Such dodgy people out there these days. Proper unsettling stuff.

They've called me four times over these past couple of days. Even though my phone flagged it as possible spam, I picked up only to hear complete silence. When I tried calling back, all I got was some sharp, high-pitched sound. I'm definitely putting them on my block list now. Honestly, I'd say steer clear and block these numbers straight away.

This number keeps calling me a few times every week but I never pick up unless I'm actually waiting for someone to ring. Every time I block one, another one with the same area code starts calling me instead. It's really annoying!

I kept saying hello a few times but nobody replied, it was pretty obvious from the sounds in the background it was a call centre. My phone even gave me a spam warning before I picked up. Got a call supposedly from a government scheme called ECO4, which is legit and helps folks on benefits improve their home insulation and save energy. But I found it odd they were ringing me from miles away. The government doesn’t pay these people to cold call you, so who’s footing the bill and what’s their angle? My advice? Just block and don’t bother answering. If you’re on benefits, just look it up online - if you qualify for any support, it’ll be through your local area, not some distant caller.

They asserted a link with the ECO4 government initiative, which is indeed a legitimate programme aimed at assisting individuals receiving particular benefits with home insulation and enhancing energy efficiency. Yet, it raises eyebrows that I received a call from someone located hundreds of miles away. Clearly, they're not on the government's payroll for these calls, so who’s funding them and what’s their motive?
My suggestion? Just block the number and carry on without a second thought!

Got a call today from a bloke saying he was with BT, giving me some weird directions to follow. I instantly realised it was dodgy since I ain't got any BT account at all.
