I keep getting calls from this number several times a week. I don’t pick up unless I recognise the caller or am anticipating a call. It’s quite annoying how they just switch to another number with the same area code after I block one!

I tried greeting them with a friendly 'Hello' multiple times, but nobody bothered to respond. The background commotion gave it away as a call from some call centre. My phone provider even flagged it as potential spam before I picked up the call! It showed up on my screen as +441636404147, which makes me think they’ve used a local number to disguise their identity.

Yet, it raises eyebrows that I received a call from someone located hundreds of miles away. Clearly, they're not on the government's payroll for these calls, so who’s funding them and what’s their motive? My suggestion? Just block the number and carry on without a second thought!

I had a rather perplexing phone call from a chap who insisted he was affiliated with BT, urging me to carry out specific steps. It became immediately apparent to me that it was a dodgy scheme since I don’t even have an account with BT.
