I received a couple of rather incomprehensible messages on my voicemail, threatening me with legal action unless I returned their call straight away. In the follow-up, they insisted that the matter was urgent and required my immediate attention. Quite alarming, to say the least!

Today I got two calls that felt pretty dodgy. The first one came from 01636270820 with the usual sort of message others have mentioned here. Then, a couple of hours later, got another ring but this time from 02034882506 warning me about some legal action against me. Honestly, it was a bit unsettling!

Just to update from what I said before, the two calls I didn’t recognise were actually from the same number. The voicemails ended up in my junk folder (1572). I've now blocked this number so hopefully they won't be bothering me again.

Received three calls all today, at 9:35, 10:43 and just before 1pm. Each time, the message was basically the same: "My solicitor or I must get back to you on this legal matter, call 01636 270820 asap - it's urgent and time sensitive - ignore at your own risk, legal action will follow." Honestly felt really intimidating so I didn’t ring back. Folks who aren’t as aware could easily get worried by this kind of stuff. Someone really needs to put a halt to these calls.

Big thanks to everyone posting about this number here. When I got that voicemail, the robotic voice and crappy sound made me feel something was off. After seeing what you all shared, it's clear it was a scam try. Really hoping the cops catch these fraudsters quick.

Heads up, don’t just ring them back right away to sort out their story. I didn’t call ‘em, though some might’ve. It’s shocking how these lot mess with ordinary folks, especially those who are more at risk. They need to be stopped ASAP, before they ruin more people's day.

I could barely hear what they said because the recording was rubbish. I’m really fed up with these crooks. This number rang me up and made the same threats mentioned here. I just wish they’d be caught faster. I get calls nearly every day from scammers, feels like getting burgled in your own place all the time.

Today I got caught up in a phishing scam and decided to report it to Action Fraud. Weirdly, the online form I filled out didn’t even ask for the scammer’s phone number or mine, so I’m not really expecting much to come of it. They say they’ll take action, but maybe it’s telling that Action Fraud seems to only operate during normal office hours. I’m not getting my hopes up.

Got a call on 22nd May 2017 from a woman’s voice, but it sounded like one of those dodgy pre-recorded messages. She said it was from HM Revenue and Customs and that there was some urgent problem with me. The message said my solicitor needed to ring them back right away or I'd face legal trouble. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be JOHN Williams from HMRC. He had a weird Indian accent and started telling me I had a lawsuit over my taxes. When I said I’d get my own lawyer involved, he just cut the call right away. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Just recently, I got taken in for a moment by these scammers claiming to be from HMRC, but thankfully not this time. I decided to ring the real HMRC on my mobile while still on the line with the caller, and they told me to end the call straight away. Then, I contacted my local police who directed me to a London number to report it as fraud. That was over the weekend, and now, unbelievably, I've had another call from a different number today!!

I got two calls from this number today, one at 8 in the morning and then again at 10. The first time, they left a voicemail with a really scratchy recording, saying it was something urgent and that either me or my lawyer needed to ring them straight away or else there’d be consequences. No chance I’m calling them back. Sounds like a total scam to me.

My mum got two calls from these lot, both times they left messages that really scared her. Just like others have said, it was this dodgy recorded message with a woman’s voice saying something about legal trouble if you don’t ring them back, and then out of nowhere, she goes “take care”. Seems like a total scam to me.

Back on 18th May 2017, I got a call from 01636 270 820 on my landline. The day before, they left a message with a recorded woman’s voice. She claimed to be from HMRC and warned about fraud that could bring the police in unless I called straight away. Funny enough, a mate of mine from Kent, who’s also disabled and lives alone like me, actually returned their call about six days earlier. Totally dodgy, if you ask me.
