I tried calling back after missing the call. The voicemail said something about Vodafone Newbury, which struck me as strange since Vodafone is a big international company. The guy then asked me for info about my Vodafone account so he could “check” on it. Felt dodgy to me, especially since I don’t even have a Vodafone account.

Someone rang saying they were from Vodafone, telling me my broadband contract was about to expire and they could help me save some cash. Then they asked for my PIN and my birthplace as some kind of “security check”. I didn’t give them any info, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Didn’t pick up the call, but was thinkin about answering if they called back since Newbury’s just down the road from Hungerford where I used to stay (now I’m in Shrewsbury).
