The number looked just like a local area code, so I almost picked up straight away. But it passed through BT’s Call Guardian quietly, no automated message or warning. When I answered, the caller started talking about some dodgy transactions from my bank account. It immediately sounded fishy, especially since I’d had another call recently claiming there was bank fraud. I didn’t hang about - just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
