Got a call from some bloke claiming he was with ADT Security, saying they’d install a security system for free but you’d pay a monthly charge. I told him I was about to leave, but he got all pushy trying to get me to agree then and there. Didn’t fall for it, just a heads up!

On 24th of September round 12.38, I got a call from a woman who asked for my husband by name. She said she was calling from the national lottery head office. Apparently, they're giving away freebies to selected homes, with no cost or sneaky conditions involved - she even confirmed this when I questioned her. They offered 10 free lucky dip tickets for the Saturday draw, which they said would be posted within 3 to 5 days. They only wanted to confirm our address, no bank or other personal info was asked. I'll keep an eye out for those tickets!

Got a random call from someone offering some kind of security service. They asked me to verify my address right off the bat, even though they already had it, then threw in a quick question like if anyone in the house was retired. After that, they said it looked like I might be eligible. Feels like they were trying to figure out if I had any security measures set up. If I didn’t, maybe they’re gathering info to target homes for break-ins or something. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
