Got a recorded call out of the blue today. A woman speaking with a British accent claiming to be from some "bank security" team - never mentions which bank though. She said there were two dodgy transactions on my card earlier: one £300 charge supposedly from Amazon, and another £1100 from some online money transfer service. The message said to press 1 if I wanted to approve them or 2 to cancel and talk to support. Best advice? Don't bother pressing anything. Just hang up straight away, block the number and move on.
