Got a voicemail telling me to hit 1 if I wanted to stop my internet getting cut off. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a voicemail from someone called 'Shirley' claiming to be from the internet company around here (they clearly don’t know who we use). Said my internet’s been hacked and I’d lose service unless I pressed 1 to chat with a tech. Didn’t even tell me my actual IP address. I get these calls a lot but this was the first time it was a recorded message with a number left. Definitely a scam, so if you’re ever unsure, just hang up and ring your real provider directly.

I saw the number but didn’t answer, letting it go straight to voicemail. The message was some sort of robot voice telling me my IP had been hacked from different places and they needed to update my IP and router for free, just press 1 to talk to a tech. Totally a scam, no way! I've already blocked the number now.
