Got a call from a woman claiming to be from BT, said there was an issue with my router speed and offered to help me check it. Thing is, my internet’s working just fine and I’m not even a BT customer. The number she phoned me from had my local area code, so I asked her exactly where she was calling from. She stumbled a bit and then said London, but that’s a good 35 miles away from me. I called her out on it being a scam, and she just ended the call straight away!
