My phone showed a local Medway number when it rang. A woman answered with a thick Indian accent, but the call was really poor quality and there was a lot of background noise. She hurriedly said the company name but wouldn’t say it again even after I asked a few times. She claimed to be calling about my internet, but when I asked who she was representing, she vaguely mentioned BT Openreach. That didn’t seem right though, because BT Openreach wouldn’t be calling from a Medway number. The line then started crackling and suddenly disconnected. I’m pretty sure it was a scam.
