Had another call earlier today, same kind of story, but this time it was from a local number. They claimed to be from Bank Security and said there were suspicious transactions on my account - something like £300 from Amazon and £1100 from some International Money Transfer. Then they told me to press 1... Not long before that, I got a similar call saying there were amounts of £700 and £900 coming from an International Money Transfer. Pretty fishy if you ask me.

These scammers are so easy to spot! I’ve seen loads of posts on Who Called Me about dodgy Visa card transactions. What’s odd is that the amounts seem to be always the same - like £300 for Amazon and about £1100 sent overseas. It’s sort of fishy how it’s always these neat round figures - £300 and £1100 - hardly looks like a coincidence and definitely raises some red flags.
