I've just switched my phone off, so if they’re hoping to get through to me, they’ll be waiting a good while! I have a bit of a laugh every time I check 1471, only to see it’s yet another dodgy scam call.

I received a call, but when I picked up, there was absolutely no sound on the other end. It was as if the line had gone completely silent!

I received a phone call around half five in the evening from a chap purporting to represent a firm looking into elevated energy consumption in my neighbourhood. He inquired whether I was the property owner. Rather than respond directly, I requested him to clarify his identity and the purpose of his call. He went on to speculate about potential causes for high gas and electricity use. I corrected him, indicating he had the wrong end of the stick, and then he promptly hung up.

I got a call from 01633 530807, this bloke claimed he was from an energy company trying to sell loft insulation. After a couple of questions, he suddenly asked how old I was. When I asked what my age had to do with insulation, he just ended the call straight away. Felt like he was just trying to sniff out some personal details. Even though the number showed as Norwich, a quick check showed it’s actually based in Newport, Wales.

Got a call today from someone claiming to collect a debt but sounded totally dodgy. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from a Norwich number, but as soon as my voicemail picked up, the caller just cut off straight away. Pretty sure it’s one of those scam calls. Looked the number up here and blocked it on my phone now.
