It said to press 1 to end the call or press 2 to speak to someone. I chose to press 2. A guy who said his name was Michael came on and asked what I was calling about. I told him I wasn’t calling, but that I got a call from this number and asked what the message was about. Then he wanted to know my name. I asked him, “You said you’re Michael, but which company do you work for?” Right after that, he just hung up.Michael2 yearsThis afternoon, I got a rather peculiar call from this number. When I picked up, an automated voice greeted me, warning about some suspicious transactions linked to my account. It provided me with options - pressing 1 to terminate the call, or 2 to speak to someone. Naturally, I opted for option 2. In no time at all, a chap identifying himself as Michael was on the line, inquiring about the purpose of my call. Upon mentioning the earlier call I had received from this number, he seemed a bit taken aback and wanted to know more. When I recounted the message, he requested my name. So, I cheekily replied, “I see you’ve introduced yourself as Michael, but what’s the name of the company you represent?” At that, he abruptly ended the conversation.
