Got a call on my old landline that’s on the public directory. The guy had a Chinese accent, said he worked for Woodford estate agents. Wanted to know if my place was still up for sale, any bids, and what price I’d accept. Honestly, the nerve! How on earth did he even find my number?

They keep calling me on a number that’s ex directory. I answered on the first couple of occasions but no one said anything and then the line just went dead. After missed calls a few more times I decided to block the number.

It’s just annoying as anything, and I can’t help but wonder who gave out my number when it's supposed to be private and only shared among close friends and family.

Someone rang asking if the place I rent was still on the market. I told them I’m just a tenant and can’t sell the landlords house. Seems like a total scam to me.

Got a call about my house being listed on Rightmove, which isn’t true at all. When I asked where they got my number, the bloke said from Rightmove, but it’s not possible as our number’s ex-directory and only shared with close family. The guy was really rude too.

I got calls from this number a couple times now. First they were asking for someone named Johnthon, then the second time they asked for me, saying my house was up for sale which can't be true since I'm just renting.

Someone rang me saying they were estate agents and had my number from Rightmove, but I couldn’t catch the agency’s name properly. It’s a bit worrying - either Rightmove isn’t keeping people’s info safe like they say, or there’s been some sort of hacking involved.
