I received a rather intrusive call from a chap who presented himself as an energy specialist. However, he failed to mention which part of the country he was representing. He seemed keen on discussing loft insulation, but it all felt quite random and uninvited.

Got a call from this number, some lady asking about loft insulation and when we last had a survey done (survey? what survey is that?). She was all over the place and didn’t really make much sense. I told her it seemed dodgy and just hung up. Normally I wouldn’t pick up, but this code was familiar, so I gave it a go. Unknown numbers? Straight to voicemail for me.

I got a call from this number, and a lady said she was from something like ‘The Energy board’. She mentioned they knew about our loft having fibreglass insulation. But as soon as I asked which firm she was with, the call just dropped.

My phone rang and when I picked up, there was nothing but silence on the other end, then it just cut off. I was tied up with stuff and honestly didn't need some random call on my home line, which I keep just for urgent family matters. How on earth do these people find private numbers anyway?
