Got a weird call claiming I was in an accident sometime in the past year and a half, which isn’t true at all. Told them I hadn’t been, and they said they’d take me off their list. Still, I blocked the number just to be safe.

some dodgy firm said they had a cheque for me over a crash i was never involved in. they wouldnt take my number off their list and the person on the phone was awful, kept calling me darling. reported them and put another number on my block list.

Had a non fault car crash less than 3 years ago. Talked to one bloke, felt really pushed, he wasn’t getting the answers he wanted so passed me on to his manager who was listening in. She kept badgering me for info about the accident I hadn’t even mentioned and kept up the pressure about the insurance company. I had no clue about the details, she told me to look it up and she’d ring back later. Also tried to make me feel bad that my passenger might miss out on a claim. The moment he passed me over, alarm bells were going off in my head - definitely not to be trusted! Total scam!
