I received a call from someone claiming to be from Openreach, stating that they had spotted my internet speed was rather sluggish. He insisted I needed to connect my router to a particular IP address for him to 'optimise' the connection. However, when I mentioned that I’m actually a BT engineer and wasn’t falling for his nonsense, he abruptly terminated the call. What a cheek!

I received a rather concerning call from someone claiming to be with Openreach. They mentioned there were issues with my landline causing slow internet speeds and insisted that if I didn’t take action, they would cut off my internet connection entirely. When I informed them that I wasn’t comfortable sharing personal details with strangers over the phone, they ominously warned that my internet would be disrupted for the next 45 days and then abruptly terminated the call. Quite bizarre!
