Today, my elderly neighbour, who’s 96, got a call from 01630 652955 saying £600 was missing from her bank account. Thankfully, I’ve already warned her about these scam calls and told her not to press any buttons they ask for. The best thing to do is just hang up and let your phone company know. I really hope the authorities crack down on these lot soon and put a stop to this nonsense.

I hit 1 like they said, then asked them what visa card they meant. The guy kept going on with his spiel, but I cut in and asked again about the card. He said it was my new Barclay card. That’s not right. I told him I don’t own a Barclay card, and then he just hung up on me.

Got a call from some automated voice saying it was the "VISA Fraud Department." I hit option one and ended up speaking to a guy with an Asian accent. He kept asking me which of my VISA cards was affected, but wouldn’t say much himself. Felt fishy, so I just ended the call and rang my banks myself to make sure everything was okay.

Got a call from someone saying they were Visa, asking about a £600 transfer to Western Union. When I asked which Visa account they meant, they couldn't say, so I just hung up. I rang my card company using the number on my card afterwards and they said it was definitely a scam. Don’t give them any info and always double-check with your bank directly.
