Yesterday I got a call from an Asian woman saying she was from some road traffic department or something like that. Weird thing is, she somehow knew my family name, even tho we're supposed to be unlisted. She kept going on about an accident from way back in 2015, but I know for a fact nothing happened. I told her she had the wrong info and just hung up. The annoying part is, once you get one of these calls, seems like you end up getting loads more soon after!

if you’re signed up with the tps, make sure to report any calls you get from live people straight to the ico. for calls that are silent or get cut off, you should report those on ofcom’s website. these scammers don’t care about comments here but they do get worried when they see reports coming in to the ico or ofcom, and honestly it only takes a couple of minutes to do it. also, if you haven’t put your number on the tps list yet, you’re just asking for trouble. your network provider isn’t bothered either since they make money selling caller id and push blocking services.

I got two calls from the same place, first an Asian woman then an Asian bloke. They claimed to be from some RTA thing. They asked for me by my name and sounded like they knew about a recent car crash I had (not sure if it's a coincidence or if someone's passed on my info - maybe the garage or car hire firm?). They mentioned some compensation I’m supposed to get. I told them both I wasn’t interested and that I only go through my insurance.

I'm pretty much ignoring any calls from 0167### these days. I just block them as soon as they ring. Honestly, they don’t take no for an answer and keep calling no matter what. My advice? Hang up immediately and block the number - saves you the hassle.
