Not a scam as such, but they just seemed interested in getting hold of my bank info.

Got a call from 01628789383, some bloke claiming he was from BT. He was offering a 35% off discount on my phone line. Told him I’m not with BT, but he just kept saying it didn’t matter cos BT owned everything anyway. Felt a bit dodgy to me. When I asked if he needed my bank details (which obviously I wasn’t gonna give), he said no and just wished me a nice day before hanging up.

Got a call on my landline from 01628789383 claiming to be from BT, saying I could get free phone calls because I’m a reliable customer. She even asked for my birthday, which seemed odd. When I asked if she was legit, she just hung up straight away. Tried ringing back but no luck, definitely feels like a scam to me.

Got a call claiming to be from “BT” saying my internet was hacked and they'd switch me to a different line. Funny how these scammers don’t even bother to check if I’m a BT customer or not. I told BT about it, naturally they say it wasn’t them, and I’m sure these tricksters will just try ringing someone else next.
