got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, telling me there was some problem with my laptop and pe. they claimed that my internet provider had flagged some viruses or malware on my computer. as soon as they started talking, i knew it was dodgy and ended the call. the bloke on the phone sounded indian. the number showed up as being from matlock, england.

Had a phone call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, saying they'd been notified about problems with my laptop and PC. The person said my internet provider reported some malware and viruses being installed. The whole thing felt dodgy straight away, especially with the strong Indian accent, so I just ended the call. Totally a scam if you ask me.
