So the first time I picked up, they asked me about some car crash they said I was involved in. I told them straight: I don’t drive, never had a car, although yes, there was a wreck in my family, and sadly, my husband took his own life in his car. I asked them nicely to stop calling me with these pointless calls. But for about a fortnight afterwards, I kept getting calls every 20 minutes or so, which I just refused to answer. It got so stressful and annoying, I ended up unplugging my landline altogether. Now I can’t even get messages from friends or family, which is a real pain.

I've noticed persistent calls from this number lately, and I must point out that it doesn't align with my local area code, as I've verified. Initially, I picked up when they rang, only to be questioned about a car accident that supposedly involved me. I made it clear that:- A. I don't drive at all. B. I don't have a vehicle to my name. C. While it's true that a family member was involved in an accident, it was my husband who tragically took his own life in his car. I firmly asked them to refrain from calling me again, as their inquiries were quite distressing. Despite that, the calls haven't ceased, and I've chosen not to answer them anymore. The most recent spate has extended over two weeks as of the 13th of March, ringing in roughly 20-minute intervals! I've even gone as far as disconnecting my landline to avoid these interruptions, which has regrettably left my loved ones unable to reach me.
