I got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin Media, but I told them my provider was BT to see what they'd say. The caller claimed Virgin Media actually supplies BT, which is rubbish. Then I asked for their company registration number to check if they were legit. He gave me a random long number that, once I looked it up on Companies House, turned out to be totally fake and not at all Virgin Media’s. When I pointed it out, he started swearing at me and told me to f##k off. I wasn’t having any of it, so I just hung up on him!
