When I questioned the reason, they said loads of people were having problems with theirs. I ended the call and then reached out to Sky through their official online chat, who said it was definitely a scam.

Some bloke rang saying he was with Sky, warning that my SIM would be cut off soon. I asked him for my account number, but he said he couldn’t share that for security reasons. I told him if he was really from Sky, they’d know I already use an eSIM. Then I said I’d found his IP address, and that’s when he just hung up.
