Got a message from Barclays saying there was some dodgy activity on my account and asking me if I’d authorised a payment of £179.77 to Tayna LTD, which I hadn’t. I replied saying no, and then this number rang me. I was straight away suspicious, so I didn’t pick up and rang Barclays’ fraud department right away. They confirmed they hadn’t tried to get in touch with me today and said it was 100% a scam.

I've been harassed by this number, 01628778331, which keeps inquiring if I'm someone called Philip Street - a name I’ve never heard of and certainly don’t recognise. They seem to delight in calling me at the crack of dawn, around 8am, and then again at noon. It’s quite irritating as I work late shifts, and their persistence often pulls me from slumber. Got a text saying someone tried to withdraw money from my account, so I replied with no. Then they said a fraud team member would ring me, it was like 2.20 in the morning so I ignored it. On 23/07/22 I almost got tricked by a firm while trying to renew my driving licence. Luckily, no cash was taken as I hadn’t finished the application. My bank warned me, so I cancelled my card immediately and got a replacement sent out. Then I got a text telling me to finish the payment - no chance. The next day, 24/07/22, I got a call from 01628 778331, a male with an automated voice claiming to be my bank saying there was fraud going on. I ended the call and rang my bank straight away, turns out it wasn’t them. Just be careful out there.

The B.T rang me twice today with a recorded female voice saying my daughters name and that her card might’ve been used fraudulently and to press any key to talk to someone. I found it quite odd because my daughter doesn’t live here now and I’m sure she updated her address with her bank. Received a message from Barclays alerting me to some odd transactions on my account, mentioning I’d be receiving a text from 60299 where I could respond with a 'y' or 'n' based on the details provided. Honestly, I've never had £19,999 in my account, let alone splurge on something that pricey from Amazon! I decided to reply with 'n' and shortly after, I received a call from 01628 778331. They claimed they were calling for some 'blah blah' - definitely not my name - and prompted me to press a key to proceed. Naturally, I ended that call swiftly; if they can't even get my name correct, then I’m not interested. Let’s see if they try to reach out again!
