Naturally, I reached out to Amazon, and they assured me they'd never reach out in such a manner or ask for verification over the phone. Clearly, it’s a scam, so I urge everyone to exercise caution. I promptly ended the call, changed my Amazon password, and removed my payment details just to be safe. I've also gone ahead and blocked the number.
