Caller - David Hughes (apparently) - claimed to be from Barclays Bank advising we had suspicious transactions on our account including one from Aldi Motors. He sent us multiple emails with Barclays branding and links and attempted to persuade us to transfer money using our banking app. We were given bank account details and told to enter our own name as the payee, with the assurance that no money would be transferred. We recognised this as suspicious and did not proceed. No money was lost. Reported to Barclays, Action Fraud and the NCSC.
