I received a rather dubious phone call purporting to have information regarding some legal issues affecting me, alongside a supposed remedy. Please exercise caution; it’s wise not to divulge any of your personal details.

I got a cold call from something called Contract Support Centre saying we had a timeshare, and that the company behind it had gone bust. They said they could give us free legal help to end the timeshare and get any compensation owed. They set up a Zoom meeting with a firm named Aegis. When we told them we'd already sorted out the timeshare, closed the account, and had been given a payout by the administrators, and just wanted advice on making a claim, they suddenly ended the call saying it was too complicated to talk about then and they'd call back. Naturally, we never heard a peep from them after that.

Had a timeshare ages ago like 20 something years back, so they must be using some really outdated contact lists! Best just block the number straight away.

Some bloke called claiming to be from a contract support team but never said what company he was with. He mentioned something about missold contracts, I’m guessing it’s to do with timeshares. I hung up, then he rang back. They threatened to get their manager involved and said they’d keep ringing me. When I asked them to take my number off their cold call list, they just ended the call. Proper rude, honestly.
