Got a recorded message from a bot, Definitely a scam, so I just blocked the number right away!

I've had calls from this number and one other (01626241063) showing up on my phone. The guy on the line started speaking before I even picked up. When I stayed quiet, he asked if I could hear him, and I told him yes. Then he said the connection was poor and he'd ring back. Never got that call again. Sounds like it might be some kind of automated bot?

Got a call from someone claiming to be "Corp Data" saying they wanted to "update our info". Honestly, never heard of them before. The guy was so rude, talking over me just as I said hello. When I told him our firm has no deals or contracts with any "Corp Data", he abruptly blamed the poor connection and hung up, promising to call back. Obviously, that never happened. Blocked the number straight away.

A few weeks back, this bloke rang me up talking about some other business. I told him he must have the wrong number and he just ended the call. Well, today he rang again, but I asked him a few questions about what he was after and where exactly he was from, and he immediately put the phone down on me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Court Data, saying they were updating info about my company. At first, he mentioned being from a big marketing firm. I asked what exactly he was calling about, and he started talking about a different business. When I questioned why he was telling me that, he insisted it was my company. As soon as he realised he’d messed up and had the wrong firm, he hung up pretty sharpish. Didn’t seem too happy when I pressed him on what he wanted and why he was ringing.

This company is completely legit, they’ve been in business for ages. There’s really no danger at all. Seems like quite a few folks here are making a fuss with no reason. There’s a huge difference between managing business contact info and just sending out spam.
