I called them back and got an automated message saying they'd remove my number from their list. Yeah, right. I really doubt it. These companies always just switch numbers and start ringing me again. I'm so fed up with these constant calls. We'll see if they actually stick to their word this time.

My answering machine went on and an automated voice said something like "your call is important to us, please wait for the next operator". Then some hold music played for a bit before my machine probably cut the call off.

Got a call from a Newton Abbot number, just silence with some background office sounds before it suddenly went quiet. When I tried ringing back, I got an answering machine that said something like ‘Newton Household Intelligence’ - never heard of that company and couldn’t find anything about them online. They said they’d ring me again, but I’m pretty sure they’re just gathering working phone numbers to sell on. Proper annoying!
